Want an introduction to being in a band?

We can help you play guitar, keyboard, bass, or drums in a small band combo — even if you only hit one note!

Our GR!DC Instrument Share Program is a free and inclusive opportunity to play and learn.

Hosting a community event? Include our free Instrument Share Program and give your folks a chance to rock out! This supportive and creative 2-3 hour event is designed as an introduction to the GirlsRock! DC Camp experience. In a safe, casual environment, participants will rise up, rock out, and have fun, while developing their instrumental self-confidence and building community.

Girls, non-binary youth, and trans youth of all racial, ethnic, religious, and socioeconomic backgrounds; abilities; identities; and experiences are invited to spend time with our experienced band coaches on drums, bass, guitar, and keyboard. All levels of musical instrument experience are encouraged to participate. We love beginners!

Our Instruments Share Program suits almost any venue, including and not limited to: libraries, churches, schools, outdoor festivals, parks, and recreational centers.

We bring these instruments to you!

  • 1 standard drum kit
  • 1 bass guitar with amplifier
  • 1 guitar with amplifier
  • 1 keyboard with amplifier
  • 1 microphone with amplifier or speaker
