May 7, 2008 • BENEFITS UPDATE

Thanks to everyone who attended the MANY GR!DC benefits in the last couple of days. Our Funk'n'Brunch on Sunday was an incredible success. Shout out to DJ Phoenix Crane and DJ Natty Boom for spinning some awesome music and to all the people who helped make it possible including Lisa Marie Thalhammer for the generous use of her apartment. Let's do it again, eh? We also had the third show in our Women In Rock Series at the Black Cat. Maple Rabbit, Cat Furniture and Lisa Jaeggi all played for a great crowd on the Cat's Backstage. And finally on Tuesday night, the monthly Mothertongue Event was a joint Just Like a Girl Anthology Release and Girls Rock!DC Benefit. We raised over $1500 in just a couple of days- GR!DC certainly wouldn't be possible without all this amazing support, so THANK YOU!
